I just created a new account at Twitter , which is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows users to send updates (otherwise known as tweets) which are text-based posts, ranging up to 140 characters long.
I plan to use Twitter as a complimentary service to my blog, where I would be able to post short news or important updates without having to log on to my blogging account.

Ada dua alasan kenapa saya jarang menulis tips menghadapi interview di blog ini:
1. Bahasan mengenai teknik menghadapi interview cakupannya cukup luas. Saya belum punya waktu untuk membahasnya secara mendetail dan ditambah pula kalau anda cukup percaya diri dalam menghadapi interview serta mampu menyampaikan fakta-fakta atau pengalaman relevan dengan pekerjaan yang anda lamar, tahapan interview itu sebetulnya bukan hal yang terlalu sulit untuk dilalui.
2. Tidak ada gunanya anda menguasai teknik menghadapi interview kalau anda masih belum bisa membuat CV atau resume yang baik. Ini hal yang betul-betul harus disadari, kalau anda masih belum bisa menyusun sebuah CV atau resume yang komprehensif, anda tidak akan pernah mendapatkan panggilan interview. Titik!
Oleh karena itulah dalam beberapa tulisan saya berikutnya, saya masih akan berkutat di seputar tips & tricks membuat CV atau resume yang bisa menggambarkan kompetensi profesional anda secara utuh dan menyeluruh.
Teknik menghadapi interview pasti akan saya bahas pula, tapi yang jelas tidak dalam waktu dekat ini.
Since we put a print ad on Kompas and Jawa Pos newspaper (Saturday edition, June 21, 2008) for job vacancies at Santos , we got massive responses from thousands of professionals in the oil & gas industry.
Until today we have received no less than 2500 CVs or resumes for all nine vacant positions. Therefore, we would like to apologize if we didn’t call you for a pre-screened phone interview, since we only interviewed limited numbers of candidates with the most relevant experience that perfectly matched with the job requirements.
No need to worry, if you think that you’re qualified enough but didn’t manage to pass our initial selection process, your CVs or resumes would be entered into our database for future reference. Hopefully we could call you for other clients’ job requirements in the near future.
Suatu ketika saya pernah menangani klien sebuah perusahaan konsultan konstruksi multinasional yang membutuhkan seorang manajer senior untuk memperkuat tim inti yang sedang dibentuk oleh Presiden Direktur perusahaan tersebut.
Proses berjalan lancar sampai akhirnya klien memutuskan untuk memilih dua orang kandidat (dari tiga orang kandidat yang semula saya ajukan) yang lolos untuk menempuh tahapan rekrutmen selanjutnya. Karena hubungan baik yang sengaja saya bangun dari awal dengan para kandidat ini, mereka pada akhirnya sangat mempercayai saya dan sangat terbuka tentang segala hal menyangkut proses rekrutmen ini.
It has been one week since my last post on this blog. I couldn’t accessed the internet for the past week because of the internet connection problem at my home. Fortunately, the problem has been solved today, and I am able to access the internet again.
